Edward Cahill 1888 - 1896

 

Edward Cahill was born in St. Louis, Missouri in August 3, 1853. He attended Kalamazoo College for 3 years. He was a resident of Springfield for 43 years. He was of the Democrat party and spent 8 years as Deputy Clerk in addition to his 8 year term as Circuit Clerk. The only survivors of his death were two daughters, named Alice and Catherine, both living at home at the time. He also served in the 89th Infantry in 1862.  He also served as an elected member of the Board of Pardons in 1887.
