The Records Division maintains
records of all cases filed and/or
adjudicated in the Seventh Judicial Circuit,
Sangamon County. Records extend back to the
creation of Sangamon as a county in Illinois. The division also stores all
evidence from court trials and monitors all public access to court documents.
The Records Division includes four locations: the File Room and File Resource
in Room 405, the Phone Center on the first floor and the Vault in the basement of the Sangamon
County Complex.
Unless sealed by the courts or statutes, all records are open to the public
and may be viewed and copied between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.,
Monday through Friday. See Filing Fees.
